In theory you can use Tokina DX on full frame cameras. However as the DX lenses pass in a smaller image, on the bigger sensor it will show a black halo (vignetting) (images courtesy of photographylife.com)
Unlike Canon EF-S series having a phyiscally longer bayonet connector to the camera body, Tokina DX uses the same short connector as Canon EF lenses, so physically it can fit, however you will still get the vignetting issue.
Functional Features
DX: Only compatible with a cropped sensor (APS-C)
FX: Full frame. (Most full frame Tokina lenses titles do not carry FX, so the convention would be if no DX in the name then the lens should be Full Frame)
AT-X Pro: Advanced Technology – Extra Professional (zoom with constant aperture).
AT-X : Advanced Technology – Extra, consumer line (no constant aperture on zoom).
FC: Focus Clutch - One-touch focus clutch allows the focus to be moved quickly from the AF position back into the MF position
One Touch FC: One-Touch Focus Clutch mechanism.
AF: Auto-Focus.
